Description

The Buisson Rond Park is one of the main green spaces in the town. It includes an Alpine rose garden and a 19th century chateau, which formerly belonged to Benoît de Boigne.
This landscape park of 22ha was created in 1810 by the general de Boigne who desired to embellish the domain around his castle. The city of Chambéry bought the property in 1971 and created a rose garden with 6000 rose bushes representing 83 species, including a red rose "La Duchesse de Savoie", named during the inauguration of the rose garden in 1988.
