La Clappe Herbarium

Located 850 meters above sea level in the heart of the Bauges mountains, La Clappe Herbarium is an organic farm for aromatic and medicinal plants. These plants are transformed into simple or compound infusions, aperitifs and mulled wine.

Located at an altitude of 850m in the heart of Le Massif des Bauges, l'Herbier de la Clappe offers both guided tours of the aromatic and medicinal plant farm or the chance to explore the educational gardens at your leisure. The plants are grown and harvested organically, before being made into single or blended herbal teas, aperitifs or mulled wines. During your guided tour (July and August), you will find out more about aromatic and medicinal plants, their histories and virtues, as well as our activities from growing and harvesting the plants or picking them in the wild, to drying and preserving them before they are used in one of our many different recipes. You can also explore the crop fields and educational gardens at your leisure, together with the drying and storage rooms and the shop.
