The Eagles' Nest - Tree-Top Walkway

The Nid des Aigles at the Relais du Mont du Chat is a unique and fun trail featuring footbridges and a rope course, offering a family-friendly way to experience nature. Swing from tree to tree at a height of more than 6 meters and see nature in a whole new way!

You’re probably already familiar with Mont du Chat, the famous peak between the Avant-Pays-Savoyard and Lake Bourget, located near the equally famous Dent du Chat.
From its height of 1,504 meters, it offers a bird’s-eye view and a breathtaking panoramic vista of the Savoyard mountain ranges—and even Mont Blanc.

You’ll also discover the Nid des Aigles, starting from the Relais des Aigles. Easily access a treetop walk via a staircase! At a height of over 6 meters, stroll along footbridges from tree to tree and experience nature in a whole new way over a 1.5-kilometer stretch! A walk that’s both unique and fun—no special equipment required!

Enjoy a 30-square-meter observation deck to take in the scenery, as well as a fully secured climbing net area spanning over 300 square meters, featuring swings, ball games, a slackline, and a maze… The entire trail is suitable for all ages.

You can also go on a scavenger hunt along the footbridge trail, where exploring the local flora and fauna blends with the history of the Dent du Chat! Solve the puzzles to find the treasure and claim your reward! Information is available at the Cabane à Souvenirs.

The Nid des Aigles is located about 100 meters from the Restaurant des Aigles, and parking is available. The ticket office is located at the Cabane à Souvenirs, and access to the Nid des Aigles is via a wooden staircase that can be climbed by anyone without mobility issues. Suitable for all ages—children ages 3 to 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The Nid des Aigles snack bar offers refreshments and souvenirs. It is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
