Description

A festival of keyboards, with internationally renowned artists and up-and-coming talents. The programme ranges from baroque to electronic music.
Year after year, the Bel-Air Claviers Festival is full of surprises. Like strings of rabbits and multicoloured balloons out of a magician's hat, the discoveries seem inexhaustible. Ancient treasures and the compositions of tomorrow meet under the watchful eyes of marvellous musicians on their unusual instruments: pianistic vegetation, cathedral organs and organs from elsewhere, choreography on the metallophone, baroque quartet or bandoneon... the harvest of sounds on the move will be rich again this season! Everything has been sown to ensure that Chambéry's ears are awakened to the intoxicating harvest. You'll find an incredible collection of keyboards "from Charles Trenet to Stevie Wonder", photographs and poetry exploring silence, and circus performers flying around under their starry big top. Because music at Bel-Air is never confined by codes and corsets. We play transcriptions, enchantments and Métamorphoses just as we dance ballads at cocktail hour. Everyone is invited to cast aside old ideas and embrace music as a child's dream. Turn on the merry-go-rounds to Bartok, Fauré or Bach! Take a trip to Gershwin, Piazzolla or Schumann... Enjoy the Festival! W.E. Pond
