From Chambéry, the cycle path leads to the beach at Le Bourget, before tackling the only difficulty of this itinerary, the 6-8% ascent of the Col du Chat on a beautiful balcony road. Stop off at the Ontex belvedere, with its plunging view of the lake and Mont Revard opposite. Then head back down to enter the history of the Royal Abbey of Hautecombe, a unique site in Savoie that houses the tombs of the illustrious counts of Savoy and the last kings of Italy. Don't miss the chance to take your bike back to Aix-les-Bains on the boat cruise from Conjux or Chanaz.
