On May 26 1944, hundreds of bombs were dropped by two American B17 and B24 Liberator planes on the town of Chambéry at 10.44 am. In 90 seconds, 200 people were killed, 300 wounded and 3,000 injured, all victims of Operation Overlord.

Launched by La Mandragore association with the support of a number of local retailers and producers, and in partnership with the City of Chambéry, the first organic market in Savoie was born in Chambéry in October 2014.
